Gold plating is a layer of gold applied over a 925 sterling silver base. We work with an 18-karat gold plating, gold plated jewelry can fade in color after long wear.
How quickly this happens depends on a number of factors:
Contact with water, moisture, perfume and creams can lead to discoloration.
Prolonged exposure to oxygen and sunlight can lead to oxidation, which can ultimately cause jewelry to become dull or black.
The acidity of the skin, which varies per person, can affect the material, causing jewelry to discolour.

Do not shower, swim, exercise or sleep with jewelry
Avoid contact with creams, perfume and other cosmetics
Store them in a box when you not wearing them
